Advocacy Update - July 11, 2017

Tuesday, Jul 11 2017

Are you frustrated by what is happening, or not happening, in Washington? A great time to communicate with Members of Congress is when they return to their home districts in August. Attend a community town hall or a private meeting with legislators through Hadassah's Day in the District program. Learn the ins and outs of effective lobbying, discuss talking points and participate in Q & A sessions with Hadassah's National Advocacy Team just in time for the August congressional recess! All are welcome to attend our advocacy training webinars to learn what you can do to effect change and educate elected officials about our policy priorities.

Advocacy Training Webinar
July 12 at 6:00-7:00 pm (EST)
Policy Talking Points Training

Contact advocacy@hadassah.org with questions about the training or advocacy opportunities in your community.

Tell Senators that Women's Health Matters
Members of the Coalition for Women's Health Equity joined together in a letter to Senate Leadership to stress the importance of women's health services and access to care. Our voices are stronger together, so add your voice to ours. Call your Senators to share a personal story about why women's health matters to you, or use our talking points or template letter available on the Hadassah National Action Center.

Urge Congress to Combat BDS Act Now!
The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement aims to isolate Israel politically, economically, and culturally by twisting international law to portray Israel as an illegitimate aggressor and oppressor of the Palestinian people. Congress has introduced two bills to combat this movement's aim to delegitimize Israel. Urge your legislators to cosponsor and support the Combating BDS Act of 2017 and the Israel Anti-Boycott Act.
