Combating Anti-Semitism
The new Combating Anti-Semitism Policy Statement reaffirms and expands on prior statements, including recent instances of domestic anti-Semitism and more detailed calls to action. This year we have witnessed an alarming rise in threats and violence against Jewish individuals, houses of worship, and community centers. Growing disputes over the Temple Mount/ al-Haram al-Sharif are not only flaring tensions between Israelis and Palestinians, they are exposing anti-Semitic sentiments that reach far beyond the Middle East.

Here are two ways you can take action to combat the rise in anti-Semitism through our National Action Center:
Combat Dangerous Rise in Anti-Semitism - Urge your Representatives to support legislation that deals with both domestic and European anti-Semitism, as well as the need to appoint a new Special Envoy to address this growing issue.

Help Expand Holocaust Education - One of the best ways to stop the rise in anti-Semitism is to increase funding for Holocaust and tolerance education. By teaching younger generations about the horrors of the past, we hope to instill a deeper sense of empathy, and knowledge of what hate can do.

Promoting Women's Health Equity
Our new Women's Health Equity policy statement reaffirms and updates Hadassah’s prior statements on medical research, women’s preventive health, and health care reform. The statement promotes Hadassah's role as convener of the Coalition for Women’s Health Equity and integrates research, prevention, and access to care under the umbrella of women’s health equity.

Protect Women's Health Coverage - Thanks to your calls and letters, bipartisan opposition has continued against various versions of healthcare legislation. The Senate has delayed the August recess two weeks, with a procedural vote expected later today and additional changes to the bill likely. Keep speaking up to protect women’s health coverage!
