Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc. (HWZOA) is devastated by the back-to-back attacks in El Paso, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and equally by recent attacks at the Gilroy Garlic Festival and multiple shootings in Chicago.
We offer our condolences to the El Paso, Dayton, Gilroy and Chicago victims’ families with the hope that the memories of their loved ones serve as a blessing.
To those who were wounded and their families, we pray that their physical wounds will heal swiftly, and that they will find emotional strength in the support and love felt for them around the world.
When one of us suffers, we all suffer. We grieve, too, for our nation, where no one should be afraid to live their daily lives because of their skin color, religion, ethnicity or their family origin.
We offer our gratitude to those who helped save lives by risking their own and to those who are working to find justice for the victims through domestic terror and hate crimes investigations. We are grateful to everyone who works to help heal our world, to speak up against hate, and to build bridges among all people.
