Over the past year, Hadassah Medical Center researchers received over 60 percent of the National Science Foundation Awards for biomedical research in Israeli hospitals, published approximately 650 scientific papers, and conducted about 200 sponsored clinical studies and 300 investigator-initiated studies.
In addition, from 2016 to 2017, the number of in-patient and same-day hospitalizations and emergency room visits were all up by 3 percent; operations and laboratory tests, up 6 percent; outpatient clinic examinations, up 7 percent; and births, up 7.5 percent. Also, over 18,000 more individuals sought care at Hadassah in 2016-2017 than during the prior 12-month period.
