Long-time Hadassah volunteer Lonye Rasch, from Short Hills, NJ and New York City, is currently Hadassah Medical Organization Medical News Chair, having formerly served as Hadassah Northern New Jersey Region President. Lonye's ThriveGlobal.com column  "Honoring The Mentors Who Expanded My View of The World" discusses the important mentors in her life and the important lessons learned along the way including meeting people where they are rather than imposing your expectations on them, and that the path to wholeness is full of scars, which in the course of a life well-lived, become somewhat less painful. Lonye reassures us that every so often, a life event will lead us to bump up against these scars and they will hurt once again. And that’s no cause to panic. Because it’s all part of the process of living.
