Winners of Cyber competition From Left to Right Ayal Gal and Tor

Competing against 3,000 other students, Ayal Gudevitch, Gal Orbach, and Tor Hadas of Hadassah’s Meir Shfeyah Youth Village won second place in Israel’s National Cyber Competition, sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

The 12th-grade students, representing the June Walker High School for Science, took part in a virtual-game study program that encourages original thinking, team work, and time management—essential skills in the high-tech and cyber world. The competition involved each team writing code that competed with codes written by other groups. With the supervision of Shfeyah Computer Coordinator Orit Coperman and an advisor from Microsoft, the students developed original gaming programming.

The ceremony took place in Holon, where the winners were presented with prizes in the presence of Minister of Education Naftali Bennet.
