Advocacy

With 330,000 members, Associates and supporters—found across every U.S. congressional district—Hadassah makes an impact at the local, state, and federal levels. Together, we can amplify our impact, strengthen Hadassah's influence in Washington and bring about positive legislative change.

Engagement through Zionist and Jewish Education and Advocacy
The Education & Advocacy Division provides resources and services to support units and empower members. Education is focused on teaching and engaging Hadassah members through programs and resources units can use, modify and/or share with their community. Advocacy is about mobilizing supporters around our policy priorities at local, state, national and international levels. You can find out more about what we do on the website on the Israel & Zionism page and the Advocate & Take Action page. Leaders can also find more information on myHadassah under Education and Advocacy and especially on the two-page document in the file library below called Engagement Through Zionist/Jewish Education and Advocacy.

See the file below, Engagement through Zionist and Jewish Education and Advocacy, for a full description of how unit leaders can use E&A Division's programs and services to engage and empower members. 11-27-2024

Zionist Advocacy back to top

Israel—our Jewish homeland—needs our continued support, commitment, and devotion. Hadassah’s policy efforts , through Zionist Advocacy and representation at the United Nations, support Israel’s security, a future of peace in the Middle East and stronger US-Israel relations. Additionally, Hadassah actively works to educate and mobilize members to combat the delegitimization of Israel through the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement and the rise in global anti-Semitism. Hadassah has created a pro-Israel advocacy training resource, the How to Talk About Israel guide, to help combat these assaults that seek to undermine Israel’s legitimacy.

Domestic Advocacy back to top

Join us in advocating for the health and well-being of women, through Hadassah’s domestic advocacy agenda “Women, Health & Family.” Use these resources to learn more about Hadassah's domestic advocacy priorities, engage members through informational forums, and motivate them to take action.

Download the Day in the District materials for step-by-step instructions on how to plan a Day in the District. Organize an advocacy training or legislative briefing about Hadassah's policy priorities and then prepare your legislators to fight for the issues that we care about most.
