Advocacy Update | Your Actions Matter

Tuesday, Aug 14 2018

Last week, Congress passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which includes $550 million for Israeli defense technology. Thanks to advocates like you, Israel will receive anti-missile and anti-tunnel funding to better protect its citizens. The Senate also passed the United States-Israel Security Assistance Act.  Urge your Representatives to ensure this bill moves forward.

Back-to-School Advocacy
Many students are preparing or have already returned to classrooms across the country. Now is the time to take action in support of Holocaust education and gun safety

Voter Engagement
This summer Hadassah units are meeting with their elected officials and organizing voter registration and engagement initiatives.  Urge your friends and family – especially the young people in your life – to register, request absentee ballots if needed, and turn out to the polls on election days! Verify voter registration deadlines for your state and learn best practices for planning non-partisan voter registration drives and get out the vote efforts with Hadassah’s voter engagement resources.* As a partner of National Voter Registration Day, Hadassah members and leaders are also invited to a training webinar to help you plan a successful voter registration event in your community.
