"Caravan Campus" Provides Safe Learning Space for Youth Aliyah Teens

Wednesday, Oct 21 2020

From campus lockdowns to Zoom learning, students at Hadassah’s Youth Aliyah villages have continued their education despite Israel's second wave of COVID-19. Now, the arrival of a “caravan campus” at Hadassah’s Meir Shfeyah Youth Village makes possible a return to in-person learning.

Originally built as temporary classrooms during the construction of a new school building, the caravan campus helps Meir Shfeyah staff implement class size restrictions.

Safety is of the utmost importance at Hadassah's Youth Aliyah villages. Students are required to social distance, wear masks and quarantine when necessary. As Hadassah's liaison to the youth village, Lauren Stern Kedem affirms, "In spite of unprecedented challenges and risks, Shfeyah continues to protect, care for, love and educate the young people we are responsible for."
