1. Privacy Philosophy and Information We Collect

Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America, Inc. (“Hadassah”) believes that electronic privacy is crucial to the ongoing success of the Internet as a service, and as a commercial and entertainment medium, and therefore uses its reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. We and our hosting providers encrypt credit card (billing) information whenever credit card information is requested online. The personal information we receive from our Website is accessible only by staff and volunteers designated to handle that information for business purposes of The Hadassah Entities or by vendors who have signed agreements with confidentiality obligations. Such information is used for our business purposes and as we may otherwise be directed by you (e.g., to process a donation, to receive additional information about a Program, or to transmit e-mail correspondence to individuals outside Hadassah). Hadassah may share information with its affiliates, including without limitation, Hadassah Medical Relief Association, Inc., The Hadassah Foundation, Inc. and each of their respective affiliates, related entities, and the local units of Hadassah (collectively and together with Hadassah, "The Hadassah Entities"). The Hadassah Entities do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. The Hadassah Entities do not share information about your individual visits to our Website, or personal information that you provide to us whether offline or through the Website, such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card account number, etc., to any outside parties except as directed or authorized by you or when we believe that (i) the law requires it, (ii) disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of The Hadassah Entities, our members or others, (iii) your actions on our Website violate the Terms, Conditions and Disclosures stated herein, (iv) we need to send the information to companies or individuals who work with The Hadassah Entities to process transactions for, or provide a product or service to, you or to The Hadassah Entities, (v) it is necessary for business purposes of The Hadassah Entities, (vi) it is for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes, including compliance with civil subpoenas and requests from law enforcement, (vii) is necessary to enforce the Terms, Conditions and Disclosures, (viii) it is necessary to respond to claims that any information you provide violates the rights of third parties; (ix) the disclosure is in relation to the sale, assignment, transfer or acquisition of all or substantially all of the assets of one or more of The Hadassah Entities by a third party or (x) other reasons we determine in good faith to be necessary or appropriate; provided, however that, The Hadassah Entities will not share your personal information with companies or individuals who work with The Hadassah Entities to offer you a product or service if you send an opt-out request by e-mail, to support@hadassah.org, or by mail, to Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc., 40 Wall Street, New York, New York 10005, Attention: Support. For the avoidance of doubt, this Privacy Policy applies, without limitation, to our members, donors and other individuals that use this Website or otherwise provide us with their personal information.

2. Collection of Personal Information
In certain circumstances such as the following, we will ask you to provide us with certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form:

If you access this Website from outside of the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

3. Is Credit Card Information Secure?
We care about the safety and security of your transaction. We and our hosting service providers use high grade encryption to communicate with your browser software. This method is a commonly used security protocol, which makes it difficult for anyone else to intercept the credit card information you send to us. Hadassah has implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, The Hadassah Entities cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

4. How Do We Use "Cookies"?
Visitors should be aware that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected by this Website through the use of "cookies". 7. Use of IP Address and Computer Information
Among other things, we use your computer's IP (Internet Protocol) address to:

In utilizing this analytics service, we maintain our existing standards in regards to the sharing and disclosure of information, security and privacy safeguards for the data, and the data retention policy, each described below. Google Analytics analyzes website usage information automatically upon visits to our website(s). Users who do not wish to have their visit information collected by Google Analytics may opt-out by downloading a browser extension or by disabling cookies in their browser settings. Opting-out of web measurements will still permit users to access this website, with all included information and functionality.

The Hadassah Entities may collect and aggregate data about your usage of the Website, and Hadassah shall be the sole owner of such information.

Because we link to social media sites, and from time to time may include third-party advertisements, other parties may collect your personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different web sites when you visit this Site.

In addition, we use Google AdWords, so we are advertising the Site online through a form of tracking called remarketing, Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on various sites across the Internet, and use cookies to serve you ads based on your past visits to this Site. Please remember that if you transmit or post any information in any public areas of this Website such information may be collected and used by others over whom The Hadassah Entities have no control. The Hadassah Entities are not responsible for the use made by third parties of information you transmit, post, or otherwise make available in public areas of this Website.

This Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. The Hadassah Entities do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
