Joshua W. Rednik
Chief Development Officer
March 21, 2018 – NEW YORK, NY – Joshua W. Rednik, CFP®, has been named Chief Development Officer for Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc, (HWZOA) announced Janice Weinman, Hadassah Executive Director/CEO.  Rednik will supervise the planning, execution and implementation of all of Hadassah’s fundraising initiatives and campaigns in support of its programs and advocacy efforts in the United States and the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) including its two world-class hospitals in Jerusalem.

Rednik, who brings to Hadassah more than twenty years of experience in the non-profit sector, managing organizations and developing and executing multi-million-dollar fundraising campaigns, will spearhead Hadassah’s recently-announced $91.2M Full Circle Capital Campaign which will renovate and expand HMO’s historic Round Building at the Ein Kerem campus.

Weinman states, “In this year of many Hadassah centennial milestones – the 100th anniversaries of HMO, the Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing and HMO’s Department of Ophthalmology – Joshua brings a wealth of exciting new fundraising ideas and strategies to further our mission of supporting HMO’s outstanding medical care for the people of Israel and the world.  His successful record as President / CEO of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) and his contacts in the Jewish community will be important assets for Hadassah’s fundraising strategies.”

Rednik states, “Hadassah has a long and venerable history of support and service to the land and people of Israel and a distinguished record of achievement in the US in advocacy for issues important to women. I am eager to contribute my fundraising skills on behalf of this outstanding organization.”

During Rednik’s tenure as President and CEO of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) from 2014-2018, he and his team raised over $60M from foundations, corporations and individuals in support of DRIF’s mission to cure type 1 diabetes.

Prior to DRIF, Rednik served as Executive Director of the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF) of Greater MetroWest in Whippany, NJ from 2008-2013.  During his tenure, Rednik and his team created and implemented JCF’s $100M “MetroWest Tomorrow” Endowment Campaign, exceeding its original goal ahead of schedule.

Rednik has also held senior leadership roles within the major gifts and planning giving and endowment divisions of UJA-Federation of New York and the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington (Rockville, MD).

Rednik is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Psychology and received his MSS in Social Service at Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, PA.  A Certified Financial Planner™ professional, he received an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.  He resides in South Orange, NJ with his wife and two children.
