Presented by Hadassah Southern California, a one-day retreat called Celebrating YOU,  brought together nearly one hundred 40- to 50-year-old women for a day of personal discovery, held Sunday, April 30.

The intent of the effort was to inspire participants to do more, do something greater than themselves, and to make Hadassah their philanthropy of choice. Held in Manhattan Beach, California, the retreat unfolded powerfully with small-group exercises, a panel discussion, breakout sessions, a keynote presentation by Hadassah CEO/Executive Director Janice Weinman, and a closing circle that generated tears, commitments, new Hadassah members and fundraising. 

Celebrating YOU served as the launch of EVOLVE, a new membership outreach program designed to engage young Jewish women who care about themselves and making a difference in their community through the causes of women’s health, volunteerism, personal growth and Jewish continuity.
