A terrorist rammed his vehicle into three soldiers at a checkpoint in the Binyamin region, located between the villages of Dolev and Talmon around 7 p.m., Israel time.
Two of the soldiers were taken to Hadassah Hospital - Ein Kerem, while the third soldier was transported to Sheba Medical Center. The terrorist was killed at the scene.
The two soldiers were lightly injured during the attack. They underwent x-rays and are being evaluated for additional intervention if needed.
Meir Mizrachi, a Jerusalemite from the Nachlaot neighborhood, is the father of one of the injured soldiers. He received a phone call from his daughter “to take a taxi directly to Hadassah Ein Kerem,” because his son was injured.
After arriving at the hospital, Mr. Mizrachi was able to conclude that his son “seems to be okay on the whole,” although his leg was injured. Head of the Shock Trauma Unit, Dr. Miklosh Bana, said that the injuries were typical of the vehicular terrorist attacks that Hadassah staff has witnessed in previous cases
Terrorism is not a new thing to the Mizrachi family. Mr.Mizrachi’s sister and husband were murdered by terrorists in Gush Katif 10 years ago. Next week marks the anniversary of their deaths. “I am happy that my son is okay and being treated here. I wish him and all the other injured a full recovery.”
