Paula M. Schiff
Career and Family
I have been an English as a second language teacher and administrator for 40 years.
I am now retired. In June, my husband and I will be married 56 adventurous years.
We have two daughters and two grandchildren.
How did you get involved with Hadassah
After I joined Hadassah in Northern California in 1965, I received a call asking me to
be in charge of membership. I signed up about 100 new members.
What is it about Hadassah that resonates with you?
Along with my wonderful Hadassah members, I have presented three Israel
advocacy programs. All were a success with the attendees asking for more
programs. Last year, I went to Israel and had the privilege of being given a personal
tour of the Hadassah hospital in Ein Kerem. I urge all my Hadassah members to visit
the Hadassah hospital to see personally how much our joint efforts have
accomplished: excellent patient care and outstanding research facilities.
Share something you would like people to know about you.
I am an avid reader and belong to five book clubs, one of which is our fantastic
Hadassah book club. I like to travel.
