Career and Family
I was born in New York City and moved to Atlanta in 1947. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA degree in accounting and worked in two local CPA firms while managing a family business throughout my professional career.
I was married to Philip, of blessed memory, for 49 years, and we have two grown children, Joel and Helane. I have been a Hadassah three-generation member for nearly 50 years, and I'm a proud member of the Circle of Founders and Keepers of the Gate.

How did you get involved with Hadassah?
I became involved with Hadassah when I was invited to a new member coffee when I moved into a new neighborhood. If you had told me then that I would go on to serve as an officer at the Group, Chapter and Region levels as well as being elected to the Hadassah National Board three times, I would not have believed it.

What is it about Hadassah that resonates with you?
I found my volunteer home in Hadassah. Working with like-minded women to further the Hadassah mission and support Israel has been a part of who I am as a Jewish American woman. Hadassah is real, and we are the women who Do! This is why I have worked for and supported the organization for all of my adult life.

Share something you would like people to know about you.
As a 20-year breast cancer survivor as well as being someone who is presently undergoing treatment for another cancer occurrence, I continue to be optimistic. I have my Hadassah family to support me as we all support Hadassah. My secret wish is to win one of the mega lottery drawings so that I could make a huge contribution to continue the work of Hadassah into the 22nd century.
